Laura Winn

Growing up in rural Alaska taught me many of life's greatest gifts can be found in the simple things. I've spent my life seeking to be of service in my community through volunteering in different capacities as the seasons of my family's life have changed. First as a Licensed Therapeutic Foster Parent to developmentally disabled children here in Columbia.

Several years ago, my family and I began fostering and training dogs for Final Victory Animal Rescue melding our love of animals and passion for service to others. I enjoy hiking, reading, raising an amazing daughter with my husband and spending time with my dogs. 

On a more personal note I relax with games, cards, puzzles and weight lifting. 

My educational background has focused on my interests. In 2017 I achieved dual Bachelor of Art Degrees in both Criminal Justice and Psychology. As a young child I saw how the Criminal Justice System could impact those struggling with mental health issues and resolved early I wanted to be part of addressing this complex need. I then went on to complete a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in order to better support members of my community.
